Rosemary tells us ''The photo was taken with a Nikon D7000 with a macro 90mm F/28 1:1 lens at the Lavender Fields in Hitchin (Cadwell Farm, Arlesey Rd, Ickleford, Hitchin SG5 3UA - https://www.hitchinlavender.com) .They have fields of sunflowers as well as lavender and you can get up close to them very easily. I was looking for something ‘simple’ to take and saw this sunflower bud with all the open sunflowers around it. I do try and keep my photographs as simple as possible and this fitted the bill.

I am a member of Park Street Camera Club in Bricket Wood near to St. Albans, Hertfordshire. I adore taking close-up photographs of absolutely everything, particularly flowers and wildlife.
Belonging to a Camera Club has improved my photography over the years and I would recommend anyone wishing to learn more about their photography to join one, even if you are a beginner.
Our Club is exceptionally friendly and any of the members will always help you.
