The Digital Photographer's Handbook - Landscapes and Cityscapes

A long title for what is a classically simple and straightforward book. If you are new to digital this might well be the place to start if you need to produce landscapes and cityscapes. The topic is covered in depth and there is an abundance of good material to help the starter - power uses would probably find a few tips as well! Topics such as removing distractions (human and litter) are well covered as well as the stock in trade requirements of correcting verticals and colour adjustments. The book is beautifully designed with a stylish use of an extra plate with a metallic ink adding to a generally sumptuous feel - it would make an excellent present for a photographer new to digital and not break the bank at £14.95.

This is the first of a series by Simon Joinson and the follow-on of Portraits will be of even greater interest to our members.

Published by Rotovision ISBN 2-88046-655-5 priced at £14.95 112 pps.
